Background
I am a Baltimore based artist working primarily in painting
and drawing media, although occasionally branching out into
mixed media and photographic projects. I graduated from
the Corcoran College of Art and Design in 2003 with an Associate
of Fine Arts degree. After several years of working at the
retail end of the art industry, and completing several commissioned
projects, I decided to return to an academic environment.
In 2006 I enrolled at the Maryland Institute College of
Art and I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Fine
Arts in Painting. Much of my recent work is academic, although
I am always working on ongoing investigations outside of
school. My work is both representational and abstract, and
focuses on moments in time rather than timeless events.
I am constantly exploring themes relating to nature, personal
and familial relationships, and my perception of the human
condition.
